We would like to take a moment to give a well overdue welcome to our new (and not so new) Nurses!
Nikhole has been with us since the day we opened. She has grown along side us and has had a huge impact on helping us create what our practice is today. She is a Music Pastor's wife and a mother to two beautiful children. Prior to working with us, she had one year of experience as a nurse in the Medical Progressive Care Unit along with six years total of experience in the medical field (she was a Unit Secretary for three years as well as a Nurse Extern for three years both being in the Medical Intensive Care Unit). She has grown so much as a nurse over the last year and we have been honored to have been able to witness that first hand! We couldn't have chosen a better person to have started with us!
Karen joined our team a year ago in July! She has give years of experience with a background in the Cardiac Step Down Unit as well as the Postoperative Care Unit. She is a Pastor's wife and a mother to three beautiful children. From day one, she has been incredibly adaptable and willing to do whatever is needed to help our business succeed. She works hard, never complains and does it all with a smile. We couldn't be more appreciative! Beginning in June, she is taking responsibility of billing/patient statements as well as maintaining her nursing role with us.
Chelsea joined us in November of last year. She has two years of experience with a background in Oncology. She was also a nursing assistant for two years during nursing school working in the Medical Intensive Care Unity. She and her husband are expecting their first baby boy in June! She has been extremely helpful with taking over the front desk duties while also stepping in to help in the nurse role whenever necessary. She is dependable, efficient and handles even the toughest situations with tact and grace. We are so excited for her to be taking maternity leave but we will definitely miss her while she is gone!
Brittany came on board on an as needed basis beginning this past January. She has two and a half years of experience with a background in Postpartum, Antepartum as well as Labor and Delivery. (Fun fact, she was Sabrina's delivery nurse when she welcomed her first baby girl into the world this past January!). She also, recently won Labor and Delivery nurse of the year at her full time place of employment! She always has a positive attitude and remains calm even on the busiest of days. We are so glad to have her when she's able to come work with us.
Brooke is our newest addition; she joined us in April of this year. She and her husband have a sweet baby boy who's 7 months old! She has over five years of experience with a background in the Stroke Unit, Postpartum/Newborn Nursery and most recently the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (where she worked with her husband who is also a nurse!) We didn't even know we were looking for another nurse to add to our team but God's timing is always perfect and we are so thankful for that! She always has a good attitude, is a fast learner and has been a wonderful fit with our work family. We are lucky to have her!
